FutureGov Networks is in beta, which means we're still working on it. We want it to be useful so tell us what you think and what else you'd like to see and we'll make it happen.

Safeguarding2point0 at NESTA Reboot july 2010

Just a quick one to share the slides we presented to NESTA's Reboot Britain event on Monday outlining some of the work we've been doing looking at rethinking child protection and the role web technologies might play in enhancing prevention.

To read more or watch a short video of our recent event, have a read of our blog post.

All thoughts appreciated.

Mapping political social media crowds and #pdf10

The first of many bits and pieces we're bound to share with you after our visit to the fantastic Personal Democracy Forum in New York last week, here Marc Smith gives you the run down on what he and his colleagues are working on around social network analysis and online relationships.

As I say more of this sort of thing as we catch up on our post-event reading, but for now take a look at the event summary from FutureGov's Carrie as well as what was said on Twitter during the 2 day event.

Oh, and then there's always the recordings of the keynotes brought to you by Civico of course... :)

Gov 2.0 in the UK

Last week I was part of an O'Reilly Gov 2.0 online conference, Gov 2.0 Internation: Global Meeting Local Challenges.

I spoke on UK Innovations in Gov 2.0 (or 'You say Gov 2.0, we say digital engagement'), giving attendees (viewers?) from round the world a taste of the journey the UK has been through in embracing web 2.0 in government.

Clearly it's a quick canter through one man's take on the UK's journey and doesn't cover everything, but I'd love to hear views on the story I tell and anything I may have missed.

You can also find links to all the websites I mention in the presentation over here.
