We are a consultancy with a passion for making the most of information and the web to improve the public sector. We want to help government get closer to its customers so that services better meet their needs.
As many of you will know, UK GovCamp 2010 happened on the weekend, generating lots of pre- and post-event debate.
Although I wasn't able to make it along to the event itself, catching up on my reading one contribution that stood out was this presentation from Michele Ide-Smith and Paul Henderson on the work they are leading on in Cambridgeshire.
Plenty of lessons on approaches to researching and boosting local digital engagement.
Nice summary of some of the best in hyperlocal websites and public sector information from William Perrin and his Talk about Local initiative.
Thanks to Ken Eastwood for spotting it.
I wasn't able to make the Socitm event, but great to see so much content being shared on slideshare and their main site after the conference by the organisers, including this keynote speech from Geoff Mulgan of the Young Foundation.
I can't say I agree with it all (to say there is an effective investment model for social innovation for government and social enterprise is simply wrong) but plenty of food for thought.
Enjoy!
